Experienced as a designer and project manager working in New York City and New Delhi, India, Hillary Collins joined Barrett Design & Development as a Junior Architectural Designer in 2011.
In New Delhi, Hillary worked on both residential and institutional projects. She was project manager of two residences, coordinating from schematic design though construction. As part of the design team for two economic institutes, the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations in New Delhi (ICRIER) and the National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER), she contributed to conceptual design and assisted in developing construction documents.
Prior to working in India, Hillary worked as an Architectural Designer at Peter Gluck & Partners and interned at Gluckman Mayner Architects, assisting on high-end residential projects in New York.
After receiving an interdisciplinary bachelor of arts from New York University’s Gallatin School concentrating on Urban Design and Anthropology, Hillary earned her Masters of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She was awarded travel grants for a design/research project and taught at the Summer Academy at the UTSOA.
